Mobility care is hands on help with moving safely throughout the day. That includes walking, getting in and out of bed or a chair, managing stairs, using a walker or wheelchair and getting to and from the car. Our caregivers give steady support where it is needed while encouraging your loved one to stay as active and independent as possible.

Fall prevention at home
During your free in home assessment, we walk your loved one's daily route through the home and look for anything that could lead to a fall, like loose rugs, cords across walkways, dim hallways, bathrooms without grab bars and stairs with only one rail. Our caregivers can handle small fixes, like moving a rug or adding a night light, and we will let you know about bigger items, like grab bars or a raised toilet seat, so your family can arrange them.
Safe transfers for everyone
Safety comes first, for your loved one and for our caregivers. If your loved one cannot help bear their own weight, a Hoyer lift or other safety equipment will be needed for transfers. We will talk this through with you during the assessment and help you understand what equipment your loved one may need.

Every client begins with a free, no obligation in home assessment. Our registered nurse will come to the home to meet your loved one, walk through their space and learn about their routine, health history, mobility needs and goals. We will then match a caregiver based on experience with the transfers and equipment your loved one needs, and on personality too. From there, we create a custom care plan and a consistent schedule, adjust it as your loved one gets stronger or needs change, and work with you to make care as affordable as possible. If a hospital discharge is coming up, call us before the discharge date so care is ready the day your loved one comes home.

Can your caregivers use a Hoyer lift?
Yes. Our caregivers are trained to help with Hoyer lifts, sliding boards, transfer benches and more. Let us know when you call, and we will match your loved one with a caregiver who is experienced with their equipment.
What if my loved one falls while the caregiver is there?
Our caregivers follow safety procedures, check on your loved one, call for emergency help when needed and let your family and our care team know right away.
Does Medicare or my health insurance pay for mobility care?
Medicare and regular health insurance generally do not cover non-medical home care like ours. Medicare may cover a short period of physical therapy at home after a hospital or rehab stay, but daily help with walking and transfers is usually private pay. If your loved one has long term care insurance, we take care of the administrative work for you.
Is there anything your caregivers can't help with?
Our caregivers provide non-medical care and follow the care plan created by our registered nurse. They can give medication reminders, but they do not give medications, do wound care or provide physical therapy. If your loved one needs skilled care, we are happy to connect you with trusted providers we work with.
