Can your caregivers care for someone who is bed bound?
Yes. Our caregivers provide total care, including turning and repositioning, skin checks, personal care and safe Hoyer lift transfers.
Do your caregivers do wound care, injections or tube feedings?
No. Those are skilled nursing tasks handled by a home health agency or private duty nurse. Our caregivers cover the hours in between, and with your permission, we coordinate with your loved one's nurses so care stays seamless.
Does Medicare or my health insurance pay for this kind of care?
Medicare and regular health insurance may cover some skilled nursing and therapy visits, but they generally do not cover non-medical home care like ours. Our services are private pay, and if your loved one has long term care insurance, we take care of the administrative work for you.
Can a caregiver take my loved one to dialysis or therapy?
Yes. Caregivers stay with your loved one the whole time. If a caregiver uses their own car, mileage is billed at the IRS standard rate, and a caregiver can drive your loved one's car as long as it is properly insured.
