24/7 Virtual Care for peace of mind, day and night

Even with wonderful care in place, there are hours when no one is in the home. Late at night. Between visits. The quiet afternoons when your loved one is on their own. Families often tell us those are the hours they worry about most.

24/7 Virtual Care helps fill those gaps. It gives our care team a better understanding of what is happening in your loved one's home around the clock, so we can spot changes early, keep you informed and keep your loved one safer at home.

What is 24/7 Virtual Care?

Using smart technology powered by AI, we place small sensors in your loved one's home that pick up on important sounds and changes in their routine. When something stands out, like a possible fall or a call for help, our care team is alerted so we can follow up quickly and let your family know.

Over time, the system also helps us see patterns we would otherwise miss, giving us the information we need to make your loved one's care plan even better. It works around the clock, whether a caregiver is in the home or not. It is not an emergency alert system. Its purpose is to give us the information we need to stay one step ahead.

Two ways to get 24/7 Virtual Care

Included with our caregiver services

For our clients who receive caregiver services, 24/7 Virtual Care is part of our standard of care, and we do not charge for it. It is simply one more way we enhance your loved one's care and stay as proactive as possible. It is especially helpful during the hours when a caregiver is not in the home.

24/7 Solo Care

Some families don't need a caregiver yet, or their loved one simply isn't ready for one. They just want the security of knowing there is something in place looking out for their safety and well being. For them, we offer 24/7 Virtual Care on its own, which we call 24/7 Solo Care.

Nothing for your family to do

We take care of everything. We set it up, make sure it is working and handle the rest. Once the sensors are plugged in, they simply work quietly in the background. There are no buttons to push, nothing to wear, nothing to charge and nothing for your loved one to remember.

What 24/7 Virtual Care can pick up

  • If a fall happens, someone will know.

Possible falls and calls for help, even at 3 in the morning when no one else is around, so our care team knows what happened and can follow up.

  • Restless nights won't go unnoticed.

Frequent waking, restlessness and nighttime wandering, which can be early signs of an infection, pain or changes in memory.

  • Early signs of illness.

More coughing than usual, more trips to the bathroom and other signs of not feeling well, so problems can be caught before they lead to a hospital stay.

  • Moments of distress or confusion.

Signs that your loved one is upset, agitated or confused, especially in the late afternoon and evening.

  • Whether meals are happening.

Activity in the kitchen and mealtime routines, so you know if meals are being skipped.

  • Loneliness and time alone.

How much time your loved one spends on their own and how much social connection they are getting.

  • Kind, caring interactions.

Positive moments between your loved one and their caregivers, so you know they are being treated with patience and respect.

  • Changes in daily rhythm.

When someone who always gets up at 7 is suddenly sleeping until noon, we will know something may have changed.

And that is just the beginning. 24/7 Virtual Care can pick up on so much more, which makes it a wonderful way to learn more about your loved one and the care they need.

Catching small changes before they become big problems

Some of the most common reasons older adults end up in the hospital start small. A urinary tract infection might first show up as more trips to the bathroom. A respiratory infection might start with a cough that slowly gets worse. These changes are easy to miss, especially when they happen overnight or when no one is in the home.

24/7 Virtual Care helps us notice them early. When we see a change, we let your family know so you can involve your loved one's doctor and get them checked before a small problem turns into something serious. In our experience, this kind of early action can make a real difference in helping loved ones avoid a trip to the hospital.

Built with your loved one's privacy in mind

We understand that the idea of technology in the home can feel uncomfortable at first, so we want to be clear about how it works. There are no cameras, and our team cannot simply check in whenever we want.

The sensors are designed to recognize specific sounds that may signal a concern, like a fall, a call for help or a change in coughing. It is not there to intrude on your loved one's private life. It is there for one reason, to help keep your loved one safe and well.

A smarter care plan, not an emergency button

We want to be very clear about this. 24/7 Virtual Care is not an emergency alert system, and it does not call 911. If your loved one has a medical alert button or any safety device that automatically calls for emergency help, please keep it. The two work best side by side.

What 24/7 Virtual Care adds is information. It gives our care team the data and insight to see what is really happening in the home, so we can be proactive instead of reactive and build the best possible care plan for better outcomes. For example, if it picks up that your loved one is waking up often at night, we may talk with you about adding overnight care. Every alert and every pattern helps us build a care plan that truly fits your loved one.

Who 24/7 Virtual Care is for

  • Loved ones who live alone or spend part of the day on their own
  • Clients who have a caregiver for part of the day and want added support the rest of the time
  • People living with early memory loss who are still safe at home but need an extra layer of support
  • Loved ones coming home after a hospital or rehab stay

It starts with a free in home assessment

Every client begins with a free in home assessment. Our registered nurse will come to the home to meet your loved one, learn about their routine, health history and goals, and talk with you about whether 24/7 Virtual Care is a good fit, on its own or alongside a caregiver.

From there, we work together with your family to create a custom care plan. Our care team stays involved every step of the way, following up on alerts, keeping you informed and updating the plan as your loved one's needs change.

Why not just buy a device on your own?

There are monitoring products families can buy on their own, and we understand the appeal. The difference is what happens after something is picked up. With a device on your own, figuring out what the information means and what to do next falls on you.

With us, a real care team who knows your loved one is behind the technology. We set everything up, keep it running, follow up on what comes in, keep your family informed and use what we learn to make your loved one's care plan better. You get all of the benefits, without the extra work or the guesswork.
