Home care in King & Bear, FL
Caregivers for older adults behind the gates of King & Bear in World Golf Village, chosen to suit your parent's home, routine and pace.
Help at home inside the gates
King & Bear is the gated community in World Golf Village that grew up around the only golf course Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus ever designed together. Its neighborhoods sit among lakes, live oaks and wooded conservation land, and a parent who has settled in here usually hopes to stay. Home care in King & Bear helps a parent do just that, with a caregiver for showers, dressing, meals and a calmer house.
Every caregiver we send has been screened and trained, and we pick the one whose skills and manner fit your parent. That caregiver returns for each visit, soon becomes a familiar face at the guard gate and picks up the little things, like which chair your mom prefers after lunch. A registered nurse supervises that caregiver and writes the care plan, so someone with clinical training keeps watch over the whole picture.
Coming home to King & Bear after a hospital stay
Families in King & Bear often call us when a parent is about to leave UF Health Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine or Ascension St. Vincent's St. Johns County, off I-95 at County Road 210. We can have a caregiver there when your parent gets home, with the new prescriptions picked up and a light meal ready. Our hospital to home care carries on through the unsteady first weeks and the rides to each follow-up.
Care can be a few mornings a week, overnight or 24/7, and it changes as your parent does. First we do a free in-home assessment, walking through the house and the daily routine with you, and then we write the care plan down. Calls to our Nocatee Town Center office are picked up day and night, so a worry at midnight still reaches a real person.
Fairway homes, condos and the amenity center
Homes in King & Bear run from houses backing onto the fairways or the woods to the townhouses of Laterra Links, the condominiums of Laterra and the two-story cottages of Tuscan Wood. In a two-story house, a caregiver carries the laundry up and down, keeps the rooms your parent uses on the ground floor ready and stays a step behind on the staircase. In a condo, the help leans toward meals, bathing and getting out the door.
The amenity center is a big part of the week here, with a lap pool that is heated in winter, a fitness center with classes and water aerobics, and tennis and pickleball groups. A caregiver can drive your mom over for water aerobics, wait nearby and help her change afterward. Your dad might rather sit under the oaks at Heritage Park or have lunch at the golf course restaurant across from the amenity center.
As a parent regains strength after an illness, a food truck Friday or the Fall Funfest is a good reason to be out among neighbors again, with a caregiver at their elbow. We send regular updates from our Ponte Vedra office, which helps when the rest of the family lives in another state.

What's the difference between home care and home health care?
Home care, also called non medical home care, helps your loved one with everyday activities so they can stay safe and comfortable at home. A trained caregiver or home health aide assists with personal care like bathing, dressing, and toileting, along with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship.
Home health care is skilled medical care provided by a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). It covers clinical tasks that require a nurse's oversight, such as IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration. Home health care is usually ordered by a doctor for a set period of time, often after a hospital stay.
Many families use both, with home care filling in the daily support between skilled nursing visits.
How quickly can care start?
In urgent situations, we can often start care the same day. For most families, care begins within one to two days. That gives us time to complete your free in home assessment, create a custom care plan for your loved one, and carefully match them with the right caregiver. We move quickly without cutting corners, because your loved one's safety and comfort always come first.
What happens during the free in home assessment?
During the free in home assessment, we take the time to get to know your loved one and your family, including their daily routines, preferences, and what matters most to them. We also complete a home safety assessment and share any recommendations to help prevent falls and make the home safer, at no charge. From there, we create a custom care plan and help you decide on the home care options and schedule that best fit your loved one's needs.
Will my loved one have the same caregiver each time?
We always do our best to keep the same caregiver with your loved one, and we note your preferences so every visit feels familiar and comfortable. Thanks to our low caregiver turnover and excellent training, most of our clients see the same friendly faces week after week. Of course, caregivers need time off and get sick sometimes too. When that happens, we let you know right away and send a wonderful, fully trained replacement who is already familiar with your loved one's care plan. That's the benefit of working with an agency. You're never left without help.
How much does home care cost?
The cost of in home care depends on several things, including where your loved one lives, how many hours of care they need, how often visits are scheduled, and the type of care required. Because every family's situation is different, the best way to get an accurate price is through our free in home assessment. There's no obligation, and we'll create a care plan that fits your loved one's needs. You'll always have a clear, written estimate before care begins, with no surprises.
How do I reach someone after hours or on weekends?
We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Just call our main office number and ask to speak with someone. A real person from our team will help you right away, whether it's a schedule change, a question, or an unexpected situation. We're always here for you.

What families are saying
We brought Always Responsive Home Care into our home to care for my husband, and their caregiver, Adwoa, quickly became part of our family. She was gentle and patient with him, and she always treated him with dignity. She noticed the little things, like how he liked his coffee and when he needed a rest before he said a word. The office team was just as wonderful. Every time I called, someone answered and took care of what we needed. Knowing he was in such good hands gave me peace of mind I hadn't felt in a long time. Thank you, Adwoa and the whole Always Responsive team. We are so grateful.
